1918 Private company founded to acquire the wagon-repairing business of wagon-building firms including the Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Co, The British Wagon Co, S. J. Claye, the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Co, Harrison and Camm, Hurst, Nelson and Co, Metropolitan Carriage, Wagon and Finance Co, the Midland Railway Carriage and Wagon Co, and the North Central Wagon Co.

1939 Duncan Bailey was director.
1961 Repairers of wagons and manufacturers of wagon parts. 3,000 employees.[1]
1974 The wagon repair business was transferred to a subsidiary, Sam E. Stevens, which would change its name to Wagon Repairs. The parent company became Wagon Industrial Holdings[2]
