1873 Built a ship for Burrell and Son[1]
1876 Thomas Ridley Oswald opened a shipyard at Woolston, Southampton. In 1877 the firm became Oswald, Mordaunt and Co.[2]
1889 Oswald moved on to establish a shipyard at Milford Haven. The Woolston yard was taken over by the Southampton Naval Works Co.
The yard built several large sailing ships and a number of London colliers.
The yard closed in 1895.
