1877 Established as an ironfounding company.
1929 The company was taken over by Sir Frederick McLeod (1858-1936), who also owned Grangemouth Iron Co, Grangemouth, Falkirk.
1935 It became a private limited liability company. Formation of Federated Foundries Ltd, of which both Watson Gow and Co and Grangemouth Iron Co became part. Merger of light castings foundries, including Burnbank Foundry Co, Camelon Iron Co, Grangemouth Iron Co and Watson, Gow and Co Ltd.
1937 Listed Exhibitor - British Industries Fair. Enamelled Mantel Registers. Tile Hob Register Grate. "Newcomer" Cooking Range, with plate rack and standards in enamelled finish. "Sunray" Continuous Burning Heating Stove, in enamelled finish. (Stand Nor. B.909 and B.810) [1]
1964 Company dissolved. By this time wholly owned by Federated Foundries, it was wound up for administrative purposes and used only as a selling name. All the trading transactions were carried through by an associate company. Federated Foundries paid all the expenses of the winding up.
1965? Amalgamated with Allied Ironfounders. [2]
