1955 The US Socony-Vacuum company was renamed Socony Mobil Oil Company.
1955 In the UK, the Vacuum Oil Co changed its name to Mobil Oil Co. Ltd.
1999 Exxon and Mobil merged to form ExxonMobil. In many places, the Esso brand and the Mobil brand are the primary brand names of ExxonMobil.
