1955 After the acquisition of Wolverhampton Steel and Iron Co by Thomas W. Ward, Birchley Rolling Mills was integrated into it, forming Wolverhampton and Birchley Rolling Mills Ltd[1].

1963 Ward sold Wolverhampton and Birchley Rolling Mills to Stewarts and Lloyds to ensure supplies of billets[2]
