1956 Acquired by Elliott Brothers for the large amount of cash held by the company and a majority stake in Micanite and Insulators Co[3]
1958 AEI acquired Associated Insulation Products from Elliott Automation, giving AEI control of one of its principal suppliers of materials. AIP held 54 percent of Micanite and Insulators, supplier of heavy insulation equipment[4]
