1909 Mining Engineering Co (Meco) founded
1968 Dowty acquired Higgins Boughton Industries and its principal subsidiary Mining Engineering Co (Meco) of Worcester[2].
In its heyday, more than 1,000 employees passed through its gates in Worcester.
1979 became Dowty Meco
1989 Management buy-out from Dowty.
1993 Became Longwall International after the company was merged with the mining equipment interests of the Dobson Park Group.[3]
