In t 88o went into partnership with the late [[Allen Ransome]] and [[Frederick Josselyn]] in their saw-mill and woodworking machinery business in Chelsea and Battersea. Became Director later when the business was formed into a Limited Company. In 1900 the present works were started in Newark.
