Mortimer, later Sir Mortimer Singer of "Astra House", in Warren Road, Torquay. He was a benefactor to the people of Torquay (including gifts to the Torbay Hospital). Whilst in Egypt in 1910 he was badly injured falling out of an aeroplane [but must have made a full recovery]. Sir Adam Mortimer Singer (1863-1929).
