Sir Henry Cosmo Orme Bonsor (1848-1929)
Born in Polesden Lacey the son of Joseph Bonsor.
Educated at Eton
With his father and brother, he became a partner in the brewing firm of Combe and Co. He was a director of the Bank of England, and a Governor of Guy's Hospital.
1872 Married (1) Emily Gertrude Fellowes (died 1882)
1886 Married (2) to Mabel Grace Brand
1898 Elected chairman of the South Eastern Railway
1898 Organised the brewery amalgamation to form Watney, Combe, Reid and Co, of which he remained chairman until 1928.
1899 Chairman of the new South Eastern and Chatham Railway
1923 Retired on the grouping of the Southern companies
1929 Died
