1968 Rank Precision Industries was established as a division of the Rank Organisation - it would focus on development of the Rank scientific instruments businesses; initially involved Hilger and Watts, Rank Taylor Hobson, Rank Bush Murphy Electronics, Rank Electronic Tubes[2].
1985 Rank Electronic Tubes of Sidcup and Gordon Ronald Bonye patented "COLOUR CATHODE RAY TUBE"
Subsequently became Rank Brimar
