1873 Howe Machine Co bought the Howe Sewing Machine Co.

1880s Started production of cycles

1882 Howe Sewing Machine Co. listed as a Bicycle Maker. 58 High Street, Chatham (branch). [1]

1887 Howe Machine Co closed. New Howe Machine Co established to purchase the business.

1892 Exhibited at the 1892 Stanley Cycle Show with cycles made under the supervision of the rider R. L. Philpot [2]
