Mann and Company, Ltd., engineers, of Leeds, from 1904 to 1907, and for a further two years with the Sheppee Motor Company of York, in whose employment he continued as a draughtsman until 1911.
He then filled various positions, including that of leading draughtsman to the Daimler Company at Coventry, and works manager to Messrs. Duerdons, Ltd., of Burnley. In 1940 he was gazetted lieutenant in the R.A.O.C., but in the following year he entered the service of the Board of Trade as an assessor and valuer of motor vehicles. His final position was that of consulting engineer to Messrs. Henry Wallwork and Company, Ltd., Manchester, for whom he also took over the duties of chief engineer.
Mr. Draper, whose death occurred on 3rd November 1945, was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1919.
