Eldest son of Thomas Octavius Callender.

Career:

  • Apprenticeship, Callender's Cable and Construction Co. at Erith Works, and later on many Home and Overseas contracts.
  • 1915-18 Served in R.M.L.I. as 2nd Lieut. to Acting Captain, including Anti-Submarine Service in Orkneys.
  • 1928 October 1st Manager, Marine Dept., Callender's.
