1977 Raine Engineering Industries made its final bid for Sheffield Brick Group[1] but this seems to have been unsuccessful.

1987 Acquired Aberdeen Construction Group plc

1988 The private housebuilding and property company Miller Wheeldon carried out a reverse take-over of the company[2] which led to new management and a change in Raine's strategy.

1988 Acquired Ford and Weston shop fitter and construction group
