1881 Residing at Brimscombe Court, Stroud: Philip C. Evans (age 71 born Avening), Woollen Manufacturer Master and farmer of 17 acres. With his wife Annie and their son Edward E. Evans (age 24 born Stroud), Woollen Manufacture. also is mother-in-law Sarah Murray.[1]
