- 1897 Cycle Components Manufacturing Co floated its tube making business as a separate company The Components Tube Co Ltd[1]. Directors:
- Harvey Du Cros Junior, Managing Director
- Frederick Faber MacCabe
- R. J. Mecredy
- Charles Sangster
- Alexis de Beck
- B. B. Tuke
- This would enable expansion of the business of Hudson and Co which had been acquired by Cycle Components Manufacturing Co in 1894.
