Fry, Ianson and Co
Fry, Ianson and Co of Darlington were ironmasters, iron manufacturers, steel converters and general engineers
of Rise Carr Rolling Mills, Darlington
1865 Charles I'Anson with Theodore Fry, M.P. and Alderman Kitching established the Rise Carr Rolling Mills at Darlington. These works were originally constructed with a view to the manufacture of merchant bars.
1866 A storm blew down their entire shed of mills [1]
In course of time Fry took over his partner's interest.
1890 Took limited status [2] and gradually passed into other hands
