1869 The Scinde Railway, the Indus Flotilla Co, the Punjab Railway and the Delhi Railway, were amalgamated into the Scinde, Punjab and Delhi Railway

1878 The Indus Valley State Railway was built connecting to the Sind at Kotri.
1885 From Kurrachee to Kotree, on the Indus - 109 miles; From Mooltan to Lahore - 222 miles and Umritsar - 32 miles; Extension from Umritsur to the East Indian terminus in Delhi - 314 miles. 693 miles.[1]
1885 The Scinde, Punjab and Delhi Railway was purchased by the Secretary of State for India
1886 January. Became part of the North Western State Railway, which was later on renamed as North Western Railway.
