George Hodgkinson Barrow
1779 Born in Southwell, son of Rev. Richard Barrow.
His brothers included William Hodgson Barrow, Richard Barrow, John Barrow, James Barrow.
1805 Married Eliza Lowe (daughter of Walter Mather), widow of Edward Lowe of Southwell. Took on the responsibility for the Staveley ironworks and was responsible for branching into the coal trade to supply the coal for the ironworks.
After 1811, when William Ward decided to wind up his interest in the Staveley Ironworks, George Hodgkinson Barrow of Southwell became the sole proprietor.
They had 4 children.
