John Perry (c1801-1879), chairman of the Taff Vale Railway and the Bristol and South Wales Wagon Co

1879 April 02nd. Died. 'the late chairman (Mr John Perry), who died on the 2nd April last, was elected a director of the company 1863, and became chairman on the retirement Dr. Carne in 1877.'[1]

1879 Obituary. 'The death is announced of Mr. J. Perry, of Bristol, as chairman of the Taff Vale Railway Company and the Bristol and South Wales Wagon Company; he showed great tact, urbanity of manner, and common sense.'[2]
