- 1897 Cycle Components Manufacturing Co floated its tube making business as a separate company The Components Tube Co Ltd[1]. Directors:
- Harvey Du Cros Junior, Managing Director
- Frederick Faber MacCabe
- R. J. Mecredy
- Charles Sangster
- Alexis de Beck
- B. B. Tuke
- This would enable expansion of the business of Hudson and Co which had been acquired by Cycle Components Manufacturing Co in 1894. Mr Charles Sangster, works manager of Cycle Components Manufacturing Co would take a seat on the board of the new company. This was one of the many company flotations promoted by E. T. Hooley.
