1908 The Shropshire, Worcestershire and Staffordshire Electric Power Co was incorporated, including the Shropshire and Worcestershire Electric Power Co
1924 Carried out experiments with an electrically powered canal boat on a short stretch of the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal in Kidderminster using a 250v DC overhead supply.[1][2]
By 1927 supplied electricity to Oldbury and Smethwick, the industrial areas of Halesowen, Dudley, Kidderminster, Redditch, as well as the towns of Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Upton-on-Severn, and many villages.
Stations at Smethwick and Redditch; had also acquired stations at Dudley, Kidderminster, Ludlow and Tewkesbury.
1927 Opened new station at Stourport, which would in time replace the older stations.
