1915 Kryn and Lahy was established.
WWI The factory was erected and equipped for the manufacture of munitions.
Post WWI: Came under private management
1922 Employees: 800. Directors: Sir Bernard Oppenheimer, H. Scott Dennington, Roy Lewis, Max Tom, Jacques Kryn and Kurt Oppenheimer. Products.— Steel castings of all descriptions gear cutting and general machining, engineering shop work.
1928 Kryn and Lahy Metal Works Ltd was acquired by George Cohen, Sons and Co[1] Kryn and Lahy (1928) Ltd was incorporated.
1931 employed about 700 work-people. Also erected some Campbell gas engines.
1933 Perfected a technique for casting high strength steel, making lighter railway wheels[2]

At some point they took over the engine business of Browett, Lindley and Co
