1920 Proposed merger of Walker's Tobacco Co, W. H. Newman and Co, Findlay and Co and Albert Baker and Co.[1] The merger failed to be completed.

1920 The firm of W. H. Newman and Co., Nottingham, which is entering into this amalgamation, has a very old-established business, with a number of high-class shops. Messrs. Newman are extensive manufacturers of English briar pipes. 1925 Acquired by Albert Baker and Co.[2]
