1915 Born Carlisle, grandson of the Sir James Watt, K.T., J.P. (presumably James Watt (1842-1935), stock breeder).
Apprentice with Stanwix Garages, Carlisle
1934 Joined Triumph Co. Ltd., as Assistant Outside Sales Representative, covering British Isles.
1935 Appointed Midland Representative.
1938 Joined S. S. Cars Ltd. (Jaguar), as Southern Representative.
Started flying in 1933, obtaining Aviator's Certificate.
WWII Pilot with 220 Squadron Coastal Command, then Flying Instructor, later Staff Officer with 44 Group Transport Command.
1945 With Mr. Donald Healey was a founder of the Donald Healey Motor Co.
Assisted in design, testing, and production of first 160 Healey Cars, and toured Europe in connection with overseas sales.
Joined the Austin Motor Co. Ltd.
Appointed European Representative, covering Belgium and Switzerland.
1949 Joined David Brown Tractors (Engineering) Ltd. as Assistant General Manager of Subsidiary Companies (Lagonda and Aston Martin).
1950 Appointed Lagonda Director.
1952 Joined Bristol Aviation Co. Ltd.
1953 Export Sales Manager, Bristol Cars.
