1962 Intertherm was formed jointly by Redifon, the principal manufacturing company of the Rediffusion Group and Research and Control Instruments, part of Philips Electrical Industries to pool the expertise and facilities of the 2 companies in dielectric and induction heating[1]

1969 Interthem was the British company of the Elphiac Group which combined the electroheating interests of Philips and ACEC[2]
