Thomas Ormiston Callender (c1896-1941)

Eldest son of Thomas Octavius Callender.

Director and Manager, Marine Dept., Callenders Cable and Construction Co., Ltd., Hamilton House, Victoria Embankment, London.

Career:

  • St. John's College, Cambridge.
  • Apprenticeship, Callender's Cable and Construction Co. at Erith Works, and later on many Home and Overseas contracts.
  • 1915-18 Served in R.N.L.I. as 2nd Lieut. to Acting Captain, including Anti-Submarine Service in Orkneys.
  • 1928 October 1st Manager, Marine Dept., Callender's.

Also County Councillor for Erith West Kent C.C., and Chairman Conservative Assoc. Dartford Div., Kent.
