Published in three volumes by James Ainsworth of 87 & 93 Piccadilly, Manchester. No publication date but probably 1851.

Frontispiece is of the Conway Tubular Bridge which was completed in 1850

Foldout at p56 states that the model of Armstrong's crane is at the Great Exhibition. (presumably the one in 1851).

p97 talks about a Bury, Curtis and Kennedy locomotive and this company was wound up in 1851.
