1894 Partnership dissolved. '... the Partnership which has for some time past been carried on by us the undersigned, Robert Alford and Cromwell Alder, under the firm of Alford and Alder, at Newington-butts, in the county of Surrey, in the trade or business of Coach and Carriage. Builders, was this day dissolved by mutual consent...'[1]

1902 Cromwell Alder, Robert Greenwood Alford and Alfred Thomas Glover, trading as Alford & Alder, patented Improvements in connection with Governess Cars and the like Road Vehicles.

'...the Partnership lately subsisting between us, the undersigned, Robert Greenwood Alford, Cromwell Alder, and Alfred Thomas Glover, carrying on business as Coach and Carriage Builders and Coach Harness Makers, at Nos. 53 and 57, Newington Butts, and at 54, Walworth-road, and at Elephant-road, Walworth, and at 59, Vauxhall-arches, all in the county of London, under the style or firm of ALFORD AND ALDER, has been dissolved by mutual consent so far as regards the said Cromwell Alder, who retires from the said firm...'[2]
