1969 Cadbury Brothers merged with Schweppes to form Cadbury Schweppes

Formed 5 main trading subsidiaries:[1]

1972 Acquired Jeyes Sanitary Compounds Co

1985 Acquired Sodastream Ltd. Cadbury Schweppes planned to sell its Jeyes consumer, industrial and aerosol packaging businesses in 3 management buyouts expected to raise £19 million, in order to reduce the spread of business interests[2]

1986 The Jeyes consumer company was bought out by its management. The industrial division, Jeyes Hygiene, provided cleaning services and machines to offices, hospitals and hotels. The third business was Aerosol International [3]

1986 Sold the beverages and foods division to Premier Brands

1989 Cadbury Schweppes acquired Trebor Bassett

1990 Acquired the soft drinks business of Source Perrier

2000 Cadbury Ltd, Trebor Bassett Ltd and the Lion Confectionery Co entered a partnership agreement and formed Cadbury Trebor Bassett, all subsidiaries of Cadbury plc[4]

2002 Acquired Adams Confectionery of USA, a maker of chewing gum[5]

2008 Cadbury Schweppes was split into Cadbury plc and Schweppes which was acquired by the Dr Pepper Snapple Group of USA.
