c.1891 Edward Meredith Griffiths established his business, importing specialized machine tools from USA.

1897 Established for factoring and distributing metal equipment.

1899 Burton, Griffiths and Co. was established.

1909 Agents in the UK for Landis Tool Co.

1911 The Acme 9 inch sawing machine. (C. W. Burton, Griffiths and Co).

1920 September. Exhibited at the Machine Tool and Engineering Exhibition at Olympia with machine tools.

1920 Four-spindle Semi-automatic Lathe. Article and Illustration in 'The Engineer' (C. W. Burton, Griffiths and Co of Ludgate Square).

1927 Advert. Engineering production specialists.

By 1927 was controlled by the Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA)

1939 See Aircraft Industry Suppliers.

Represented B.S.A. Tools Group and many American makers of metalworking equipment including Gisholt Machine Company.

Later owned by BSA Tools Ltd. which then became part of Herbert-BSA Ltd

1973 Company voluntarily wound up. Meeting held at Edgwick Works, Canal Road, Coventry. [1]
