- c1790 Founded as Showell and Barnes.
- 1820 As Edwin Showell and Sons, manufactured door springs and architectural brassware.
- 1902 The company was registered on 12 November, to acquire the business of manufacturers of general brassfoundry and art metal work of the firm of the same name. [1]
- WWI. Produced 100,000 Enfield oilers for BSA rifles during the Great War (1914-1918).
- 1956 They were taken over by Josiah Parkes and Sons.
