Britvic plc is a British producer of soft drinks.
The Company was founded in the mid-nineteenth century in Chelmsford, Essex as the British Vitamin Products.
1938 It started producing fruit juices in 1938
1949 Started marketing fruit juices under the Britvic name.
1954 Britvic Ltd was acquired by Vine Products[1]
1961 A brand owned by the combine Showerings, Vine Products and Whiteways on its formation[2]
1971 The Company changed its name to Britvic.
1981 was part of Showerings, Vine Products and Whiteways Ltd, a subsidiary of Allied Lyons
1986 Britannia Soft Drinks acquired Britvic Soft Drinks, thereby bringing Britvic together with Canada Dry Rawlings and R. White's Lemonade brands.
1987 Britannia acquired the major part of the soft drinks arm of Beecham Group forming Britvic Corona, thereby acquiring Tango
1987 Owned the UK and Ireland franchises of Pepsi and 7 Up.
1995 Bought Robinson's from Reckitt and Colman
1998 launched J2O.
